In 1908 James French took over the carriage business in Coldingham and as motorized transport became more popular his garage business increased. His son Leslie managed the business until 1965 when the present Managing Director, Peter Redden took over. Peter takes a very active part in the daily tasks at the garage and in his spare time is a very skillful gardener! |

His son, also Peter, a qualified mechanical engineer, and licensed MOT Inspector, now manages the business as Executive Director. Peter lives in the garage house next door to the business and in his spare time enjoys a round a golf at the local Club in Eyemouth. Peter is assisted by a staff of five, working full and part-time. |
| Allan Cowe is also a fully qualified mechanical engineer and MOT Inspector and works at the garage full-time. |

Margaret Wilson keeps the office in order! In her spare time Margaret enjoys walking her dog in the countryside around her home at St Abbs and sharing an evening with friends and her fisherman husband, in the local pub in the village. Margaret is also an enthusiastic supporter and fund raiser for the R.N.L.I. and the lifeboat station at St.Abbs. |
